School Development Plan
Below are the High Well School's priorities for 2017/18
- Develop oracy across the curriculum focussing on etymology, effective questioning and specific feedback questions
- Establish use of evidence based research to prove effectiveness of current provision and in developing new interventions
- Implement extended day activities as part of the school's local offer
- Further develop pupil voice so pupils are active in all aspects of school life, including decision making
- Establish early GCSE programme from Year 9
- Further develop middle leadership
- Continue to develop Year 6/7 transition to include from resource provision
- Investigate Post 16 bridging course in conjunction with Wakefield College
- Develop more effective systems to enable staff to work more closely with harder-to reach families in order to increase the attendance of their children
- Further develop quality assurance procedures to reduce underachievement
- Use data more effectively to inform planning, particularly for underachieving pupils
Progress towards achieving the above priorities is monitored by the Leadership Team on a monthly basis and by the Governing Body on a termly basis.
