Children in Care (CiC)

High Well School follows the DfE guidance : The designated teacher for looked-after and previously looked-after children.

The designated teacher is Natalie Jackson.  The post is covered by the Head Teacher in case of absence.

High Well works closely with carers, social workers and  Wakefield's Virtual School to ensure our Children in Care achieve the best possible outcomes from their starting points.

Each Child in Care has termly PEP meetings, termly Team Around the Child (TAC) meetings, an annual EHCP review and annual Child in Care review.  This ensures the progress of our children in care is closely monitored and supported by a range of professionals.
