Happy Healthy Holidays Club 2021
Wakefield Council are working in partnership with voluntary and community organisations, local schools and childcare providers as part of the WF Happy Healthy Holidays programme, funded by the DfE to provide a summer of free activities and food for children and families eligible for income – related free school meals throughout the district. The programme aims to reduce inactivity and isolation experienced by many children across the Wakefield district during the school holidays, as well as providing children with healthy meals and nutritional education.
High Well School ran a Happy Healthy Holiday Club for 4 weeks on Mondays to Thursdays, 10am-2pm, which started from Monday 26th July to Thursday 19th August.
Places were limited to 15 per day. The club was FREE for those pupils who were eligible for free school meals.
The holiday club consisted of various enrichment activities around being more healthy and active. Activities included: PE / sport, food technology and Imagination Gaming.
Lunch was provided free of charge on each day.
